Player Suspensions

1. First Suspension - Any player who receives any combination of misconducts or suspendable penalties will serve the suspensions handed down by the OWHA as per the 20117/2018 Handbook.
 
2. Second Suspension - If a Player receives a second suspendable penalty during League play in the same year, they will be required to have a meeting with the GHGHL Discipline Chair, the coach & player within 72 hours of the suspension to discuss the consequences if the player receives a third suspendable penalty.
 
3. Third Suspension - Any player who receives any combination of misconducts or suspendable penalties totalling 3 (three) per above definitions in League play will automatically be suspended from League play for the remainder of the season including playoffs and Super Sunday.

Reporting Suspensions
 
All suspensions must be reported within 24 hours of the suspendable penalty being accessed or prior to the next game, league or other, whichever occurs first. Failure to report within these timelines will result in an additional suspension to the Head Coach to be set by the GHGHL Discipline Chair. It is the responsibility of the suspended players’ team to report suspendable penalties.
 
Fax front and back of game sheet if possible, or scan and e-mail. Do not fax from an original pink copy of a game sheet. It is not readable, photocopy and fax the photocopy. Include all particulars of the suspendable incident in your e-mails. Report to all of the following contacts:

SERVING OF SUSPENSIONS 
 
1) The game sheet will be clearly marked showing SUSPENSION game X of X. The game sheet must not be signed by the suspended person and the player's name should not be crossed out. 
 
 
2) It is the responsibility of the suspended person's team management to submit copies of game sheets to their OWHA Regional Director and the League Discipline Chair as the games are served. Each team is also required to notify their Associations House League Convenor of the suspension. If games are served in a tournament they must be submitted to the League Discipline Chair prior to playing the next League game. 
 
 
3) A suspension is not considered to have been served until copies of all game sheets are in the possession of their OWHA Regional Director and the League Discipline Chair and clearance to return to play has been granted by the both the OWHA Regional Director and the League Discipline Chair.
